Linked living

  By freely combining icons of graphics softwares and architectural shapes, I execute constructions that associate pictures and volumes. The playful aspect of the finished objects is added to their primitively architectural appearances. Thus, they become a composition somewhat other, an obvious sham.

   The elements of this game are underlined by the intensity of the colours, the course of their shapes, where the architectural references can be seen in the bases, projections, and stained-glass. Therefore, it is not surprising to recognise, upon looking at these shapes, familiar shapes.

  Their gathering in a sort of fictional village reinforces both the playful and architectural natures. All parameters of fabrication fulfil this dual perspective; the volumes can have the presence of a fortified castle, but keep the precarious appearance of a sandcastle, the transparency of the pictures reminds stained-glass, but their patterns playfully remind the computer code of the monitor (icon-screens) in a game of mutual references.

   Impromptu materialisations of shapes emanating from a mental paradigm influenced by the virtual, they incite us to dream some more.
